The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum ( WAAAM) is located in Hood River, Oregon, United States, adjacent to the Ken Jernstedt Memorial Airport. WAAAM is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization committed to the preservation of, and education about aviation, automobile, and other historic transportation -related relics.
History. Allen Organ Company was founded in 1937 and named after its birthplace, Allentown, Pennsylvania. The company was incorporated in 1945, after interruption by World War II. Since its beginning, Allen has been managed by the same family. Steve Markowitz, the current President, is the son of the founder, Jerome Markowitz.
The centerpiece of the district is St. Mary Church at 117 North Monroe Street. The church traces its origins to St. Antoine aux Rivière Raisin, which was founded by ethnic French Canadians on October 15, 1788. It is the oldest church in Monroe County. The current site was constructed in 1834, consecrated in 1839, and renamed in 1845.

First given in 1981, this prize honors Ray Allen Billington, OAH President (1962-1963) and prolific writer about American frontiers.
